Overview

*This post fulfills the Elite crypto-mission... or at least I hope so.*

Leet (or “1337”) speak was originally known to a small group of hackers in the mid 1990’s. This popular Internet language incorporates the use of ASC ll characters to replace letters from the English language alphabet. What’s unique about this language is that apart from slang it cannot be spoken or handwritten because it depends on computers characters to convey its self. As the language became more widespread through the Internet, a revolution occurred in PC gaming and before long it became a language also used by gamers. A common phrase while live gaming is, “I am elite.” Over time this phrase, and many others, were shorted to appear to a new crowd using the language to taunt other gamers.

Still feeling left in the dark? Never again with the use of this 1337 translator! Now even the most U83R of n008Z can hang with the gamer crowd. Those passionate about leet speak can purchase a mug customized with its definition to show off to their friends.
